Ms. JoJo - Jieqi Zhou, M.A.
Lead Teacher - IB Certificated
Jojo has been teaching Mandarin for nearly 20 years, specializing in teaching students at beginner, intermediate, advanced, and IB levels. Over the past two decades, she has taught and mentored students from various prestigious private and public schools in New York, with her students showing significant improvement in their Chinese proficiency.
Jojo holds a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Concordia College, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and an IB teaching license from the University of Toronto.
Jojo believes that there are no students who cannot learn, only teachers who cannot teach.
Dr. Jennifer Liang
CFA, SAT Math Teacher
Dr. Jennifer Liang is a seasoned educator with deep expertise in high school and college-level STEM subjects, including SAT Math, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and AP Physics. Known for her clear, concept-driven teaching style, she empowers students to master challenging topics and apply their knowledge with confidence. Many of her students have achieved remarkable improvements, including SAT score increases of over 200 points within a dozen sessions.
Dr. Liang also coaches math competitions, preparing students for Math Kangaroo, AMC 8/MathCounts, and AMC 10/12. A first-prize winner of China’s National High School Math Competition herself, she brings a rigorous, structured approach to building advanced problem-solving skills. Her students frequently lead teams to Chapter and State-level MathCounts championships, and many go on to excel in national math contests and attend top-tier universities such as Princeton and MIT.
She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Chicago. Before transitioning full-time to education, Dr. Liang spent a decade in the finance industry and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Today, she blends analytical precision with a deep passion for teaching to inspire the next generation of math talent.

Ms. Zhu, M.A.
SAT Math Teacher
Ms. Zhu brings nine years of experience in teaching high school mathematics, with a specialized focus on both higher and standard level International Baccalaureate (IB) math. Over the past six years, she has provided SAT math tutoring, significantly boosting her students' scores. Her effective teaching methods have enabled her former students to gain admission to prestigious institutions such as Emory University, NYU, Duke University, Georgetown University, USC, and UC Berkeley.

Mandarin Teacher
Sophia is a highly respected and beloved teacher among her students. She holds a Master's degree in TESOL from New York University and has over 8 years of teaching experience.
She is passionate and dedicated to teaching, specializing in guiding students of all ages, particularly elementary and preschool children. Sophia employs interactive and experiential teaching methods, focusing on student participation and feedback. She excels at creating a lively classroom atmosphere, encouraging students to apply their knowledge in real-world communication and contexts, while also concentrating on developing their language skills and cultural awareness. Additionally, she pays close attention to students' personal development.
Ms. Jia Jia, M.A.
Mandarin Teacher
Jia Jia is a dedicated language educator, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and a Master’s degree in World Language Education (Mandarin) & TESOL from NYU.
With over eight years of teaching experience, she is not only highly qualified but also renowned for her distinctive teaching style that blends patience with enthusiasm. Her classes offer more than just education; they provide an enjoyable and engaging language journey for students learning both Chinese and English.
Ms. Elizabeth, M.A.
SAT English Teacher
Ms. Elizabeth Choung is a seasoned test prep instructor and has spent over ten years both teaching and developing test questions for the SAT and TOEFL reading and writing sections. In her SAT classes, Ms. Choung provides students with the essential strategies and content necessary to excel in the SAT English section, equipping them with the tools needed for outstanding results.
Originally from Missouri, Ms. Elizabeth completed her Bachelor's degree in Business and Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She further advanced her education by obtaining a Master's degree in Education and Science from Columbia University's Teachers College. With nearly two decades of teaching experience, Ms. Choung has developed extensive expertise in English, math, science, and test preparation.
